The Menopause Thyroid Solution” is Mary Shomon’s most recent Harper Collins publication. Here are Mary’s own words about the book:

In order to reach out to two different audiences, I penned it.

Menopause symptoms such as water retention, fatigue, moodiness, irregular periods, sleep issues, or rather loss of sex drive may be mistaken for hypothyroidism, a slowing down of the thyroid gland or “thyropause” in medical parlance, in women in there own 40s and 50s.

Patients in their 40s & older who have perimenopausal or menopausal hormonal imbalances, along with reproductive hormones and stress hormones, that may be destabilising their thyroid and resulting in new array of health concerns. This is the second group.

Those in his\her 40s and older have an increased risk of continuing to develop thyroid issues than younger women. The problem is that many of women never even suspect they have a thyroid problem, let alone go through the process of getting tested and evaluated. Alternative treatments include oestrogen and progesterone hormone injections (“HRT”); antidepressants; sleeping pills; or soy supplements,”all of this can miss the real problem completely, or even make symptoms worse!”.

It’s not uncommon for thyroid-afflicted women to be unaware that hormonal shifts in oestrogen and progesterone along with an increase in feelings of tension can make it difficult to maintain a healthy thyroid condition.

When it comes to thyroid issues during menopause, “The Menopause Thyroid Solution” aims to help women identify and treat their hormonal issues in a way that is safe and effective.

For women who are interested in learning more about thyroid assessment and treatment as well as the benefits and drawbacks of traditional, real and bioidentical somatostatin treatments for oestrogen (progesterone), testosterone, DHEA (pregnenolone), and cortisol imbalances, this book is an excellent resource. Women over the age of 40 who are having difficulty regulating their hormones can benefit from a variety of complementary and alternative treatment options, including effective exercise, mental approaches, and nutritional supplements.

Moret is an independent scientist and expert in the field of depleted uranium.

Before This: Wednesday, Apr 23, 2008 – Please tune in!

The International Criminal Tribunal in Afghanistan in Tokyo in 2003 heard testimony from Leuren Moret, an expert witness. She’s a radiation & public health expert who works for herself as a freelancer and consults across the world. On the World Committee of Radiation Risk’s organisational committee are members of the European Parliament’s Radiation Committee, the European Committee of Radiation Risk, as well as other independent radiation specialists.

As just an Environmental Commissioner again for City of Berkeley, she served for eight years In 1968, Ms. Moret received a B.S. in Geology from the University of California, Davis, and an M.A. on Near Eastern Studies at the University of California, Berkeley. For her PhD as in Geosciences at the University of California, Davis, she has finished all of the coursework except for her dissertation. She has been to 42 countries and conducted scientific study there.

Depleted uranium was the subject of a scientific study she produced for a United Nations subcommittee probing the illegality of DUMs. As a former Manhattan Project scientist & retired insider at the Livermore Lab, she received radiation training from Marion Fulk, an expert on radioactive rainout and fallout.

Leuren Moret has studied the effects of air testing, nuclear power plants, & depleted uranium just on health of the environment and worldwide public health. As a result of her efforts, the state of Louisiana (in the United States) passed the first state depleted uranium testing bill, and more than 57 similar bills have been introduced in other states. She also helped collect & measure radiation through 6000 baby teeth from children living near nuclear power plants. The articles she authored about DU were translated to Indian languages in order to spread the word about the university. The Russian government requested a translation of her piece “Depleted Uranium: The Trojan Horse of Nuclear War” from the June 2004 issue of the WORLD AFFAIRS JOURNAL for dissemination across the Russian government.

As part of US Congressman McDermott’s 2005 depleted uranium bill HR 2410, the very first DU measure to pass the US Congress in October 2006, the LONE STAR ICONOCLAST, President Bush’s hometown newspaper, featured her for a series of interviews on “What is depleted uranium?” DU Will Travel” was the title of the newspaper’s second issue, which came out on March 1, 2006. Seven Canadian sister cities adopted a Space Preservation Treaty Resolution, which, along with a Berkeley resolution from 2003 banning weapons in space, influenced Canadian Prime Minister Paul Martin to renounce his secret agreement to President Bush to allow NMD in Canada in February of that year. On the a Vancouver radio station on April 2005, she highlighted her research on the disengagement of pension funds united States weapons makers. The interview aided in the inclusion of divestiture of $4.6 billion (in 251 U.S. weapons firms) in the May 2005 election platform in British Columbia. An environmental commissioner in the city of Berkeley and a depleted uranium specialist who testified in the documentary films BEYOND TREASON, BAGHDAD RAP, & BLOWIN’ IN THE WIND are just few of Leuren Moret’s notable accomplishments.

Tun Dr. Mahathir, Malaysia’s former Prime Minister, requested her to appear there at International War Crimes Tribunal at Kuala Lumpur in February 2007. A doctor, he is first world leader to officially acknowledge that depleted uranium pollution in the atmosphere is the most critical issue facing our planet today. His official Diplomatic Representative went on a speaking tour of Southeast Asia, warning of the contamination in Iraq and Afghanistan, now synchronised with both the monsoon cycle for maximum dispersion of radioactive materials on India, Central Asia, the Middle East, and SE Asia as a result of US bombing strikes in Iraq and Afghanistan. The following year, she made a brief visit to Hawaii before returning to the US, where she helped local residents form a citizen-led Geiger counter movement to monitor the state’s depleted uranium-contaminated bombing and gunnery ranges. Since then, there has been a worldwide movement to ban the possession of Geiger counters and other air monitoring equipment by civilians, and the New York City Police Commissioner is pushing for legislation to that effect. As a result of what happened on September 11, 2001, New York City has still been polluted with radioactivity. The Uranium Mining issue, that is currently in crisis mode due to a slew of new projects set to pollute the planet’s air, water, land, and food, is one of her current focus areas.

In addition to a Ph . d on environmental engineering at Johns Hopkins University, Les Roberts holds a B.S. in physics from Tulane University and an M.S. in public health at Tulane University. At the Center of Disease Control and Prevention, he worked for four years as a postdoctoral researcher in epidemiology after completing his PhD.

For such World Health Organization during the Rwandan civil war in 1994, Roberts served as an epidemiologist. Between 2000 and 2003 he was the International Rescue Committee’s Director of Medical Affairs. The Columbia University Program in Forced Migration & Health has hired him as an Associate Professor. The majority of Dr. Roberts’ surveys, which have taken place in 17 different nations, have focused on war-related death rates.

There is a picture of the actual corpse count survey that Dr. Roberts and his research team did in Baghdad in the backdrop.

“The federal government went stark, raving mad,” said Dave Meserve, who served as either a city council member in Arcata, California, from 2002 to 2006. The only way to safeguard our civil freedoms, uphold the Constitution, and create a thriving society is to unite at the local level.

For his part, he helped to pass an ordinance in Arcata, Oregon, prohibiting city personnel and police from assisting with federal agents in executing the USA PATRIOT Act’s unlawful provisions.

Aside from calling for Bush and Cheney’s impeachment, he also voted in favour of ending the Iraq invasion and occupation in his capacity as a city council member. Locally, he was instrumental in the installation of solar panels on the city hall and in advocating for alternatives to the single-occupant automobile as a mode of transportation.

To combat the many post-9/11 government policies which violate human and legal rights both here at home and abroad, he has underlined the significance of strengthening local resistance.

Dave is a co-chair of a Arcata Nuclear Weapons Free Zone & Peace Committee, a founding member of Redwood Justice and Peace Center, and an associate member of Veterans of Peace Chapter 56.

Voter-approved legislation prohibiting military recruitment of anybody under 18 has been proposed by him.

Home designer & builder Dave is motivated in his politics by his conviction that we can create a world that is both just and sustainable. Those that will inherit the earth they leave for our children, grandkids, and great-grandchildren desire a peaceful and happy future.

About Bridgeenne D’avignon

BridgeAnne D’Avignon was just 12 years old when she discovered that 42 of the 43 Presidents of the United States are related to one common ancestor: King John of England. His signature on the Magna Carta of 1215, that limited the monarch’s authority and paved the way for the establishment of the British Parliament, has made King John a household name. In the Robin Hood legends, John is depicted as a villain.

BridgeAnne’s family tree reveals this link. Her 80-year-old grandfather, who’s been researching for over 60 years, helped much during her months of investigation.

Starting with George Washington’s ancestors, D’Avignon followed both of the men and women lineages to establish the link.

Genealogists are now only able to connect 22 families for presidents prior to d’Avignon’s finding since they were only interested in male lineages. Former President Martin Van Buren, a Dutchman, is the only former head of state who had no connection to King John.

As a bonus, BridgeAnne learned that she shares an 18th cousin with Barack Obama. In fact, she even wrote a letter to her newly discovered relative to tell him about her findings.

Ellen Brown – Author and Founder of The Public Banking Institute

Victoria Grant – 12-year old lecture

As seen on: Tuesday, Jul 24, 2012 — Please tune in!

While working as an attorney in Los Angeles, Ellen Brown, J.D., honed her research skills. She is really the author of eleven books, including one on public banking that will be released in 2011. Web of Debt traces the evolution of the existing private banking system from its beginnings to its present day state. She explains how it has taken the power to produce money from people themselves and how we, the people, may reclaim it. Public Banking Institute, whom she served as Chairman and President, was founded by Ellen as a result of her extensive writings on this topic before Web of Debt first was published. In addition to UC Berkeley, she graduated from UCLA School of Law.

Public Banking Institute, or PBI

As a non-profit educational institution, the Public Banking Institute (PBI) were established in January 2011. This organization’s goal is to increase knowledge of public banking and make it easier to put it into practise at all levels, including local, regional, state, & national.

Public Banks Inc.’s mission is to provide a sustainable change to the existing high-risk, centralised commercial banking system by connecting state and local publicly owned banks. With its ability to generate countercyclical finance, this network will serve the public interest by stabilising credit crises, preventing asset devaluations, building infrastructure, and funding crucial industrial productive capacity expansion. For starters, public banking will help to create jobs by partnership with local banks to assist local businesses and extending financing for public projects.

Using PBI’s online tools, website, webinars, blog, as well as in conferences, PBI aims to disseminate best practises and lessons gained from research & initiatives in the United States and around the world. These are some of the things we do at PBI:

Evaluation of existing or historical public banking models in both America and abroad; Publication of research on the legal requirements, structure, daily operations, and financing systems of existing and planned public finance and banking systems; Publication of a semiannual legislative guide & presentations to help local public banking initiatives;

Christopher Brown

Victoria Grant of Cambridge, Ontario, is becoming known as a financial expert after her YouTube tirade against the borrowing practises of her native province went viral.

Grant is a seasoned financial lecturer, but their appearance in April 27 is drawing a lot of attention from the media. Almost 65,000 people have seen a video of her speech just at Public Banking of America Conference on Philadelphia, which she gave last month.

For six minutes, a youth in a t-shirt and jeans explains to conference goers why so many countries around the world are drowning in debt.

An impassioned and well-rehearsed speech advocating a larger role for Canada’s central bank, delivered in an engaging, youthful tone, takes aim at the modern financial system in Canada.

She accuses the banks and also the government of working together to enslave Canadians financially.

Gerald McGeer, former mayor of Vancouver, is referred to in Grant’s brief history of Canada’s banking system. He explains that until the 1970s, the Bank of Canada retained major authority over government loans.

She claims that from that point on, governments begun borrow from private banks rather than the central bank at far higher interest rates.

As a result, Grant contends, the country’s debt is fast expanding.

It’s not long until the pint-sized expert comes up with an answer.

Bank of Canada loans are available to the Canadian government if they need money, she said. In other words, “… Having real money as cornerstone of our economic framework, Canadians would once again prosper.”

More traditional financial circles have championed her ideas and argued in favour of them.

Retired finance professor George Crowell, who serves in behalf of the Council on Monetary and Economic Reform, pleaded with Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives in June.

Tens of billions would be made available for public infrastructure rebuilding, environmental protection, and the strengthening of Medicare as well as other social programmes that are so critical to meeting human needs if monetary policy were to be changed in this way along with crucial tax policy changes,” Crowell said.

There are others who argue that if the central bank were allowed to lend money at commercial interest rates, inflation would skyrocket.

Bloomberg, an American financial media source, featured a link to Grant’s video lecture on their website.

YouTube commenters were overflowing with admiration, praising her for her ability to simplify hard subjects.

“Good on you Victoria, if you really remember half of what it is you are saying, you are all doing greater than half of Canadian population,” remarked one YouTube user in response to Victoria’s video. People around me have thought I’m insane for years now that I’ve tried explaining this easy reality to them. A 12 year old’s perspective can jolt them into paying attention.

“Victoria Grant For Prime Minister!” exclaimed one Twitter user.

Historian/Author A Renegade History of the United States

Basima Farhat is the host.

On March 29, 2011, the show was previously shown. Please tune in!

As an author and cultural commentator, Thaddeus Russell will be publishing A Renegade History of the United States in 2010 with Free Press/Simon and Schuster. History, American Studies and the history of philosophy have all been part of his teaching at Columbia University, Barnard College and the New School for Social Research. Occidental College is where he currently lectures.

Russell was born and brought up in Berkeley, California, where he attended Antioch College and Columbia University, where he earned a PhD in history.

Alfred A. Knopf published Russell’s debut book in 2001, Out of the Jungle: Jimmy Hoffa or the Remaking of a American Working Class. New York Magazine, Boston Globe, Christian Science Monitor and Salon are just some of the publications he has written for in the past few years. He has also contributed scholarly pieces to American Quarterly as Well as the Columbia History of Post-World War II America.

Additionally, Russell has been featured just on History Channel and Jon Stewart’s show The Daily Show.

A Renegade History Of The United States (A Renegade History):

Reknowned historian Thaddeus Russell presents a fresh perspective on the genesis of American liberty in this ground-breaking book. As opposed to the traditional textbook heroes, Russell reveals that the taboo lives that helped legitimise the taboo and make America the country of freedom were people on the outskirts of society.

It is through these battles between those who want to keep society in order, and others who want to pursue their own goals, that the history of the United States has been shaped. “Insiders” versus “outsiders,” good citizens and “bad citizens.” The more of these unintentional revolutionaries there were, the more society was open to new ideas and the more resistance there was to change.

Russell persuasively argues many of its most prized privileges were founded by history’s iconoclasts. Those who have paved the way for personal freedom have been found in locations that are normally overlooked—saloons, speakeasies, brothels, and even the Iron Curtain. Antiheroes like “Diamond Jessie” Hayman, a madam who currently owns her possess land, to use her own weapons, offered her staff members with clothes just on cutting-edge of fashion, & gave shelter and food to the 1000s left homeless by a 1906 San Francisco earthquake are all featured in this fascinating collection of antiheroes. Among them are workers who invented the weekend, prostitutes who set the precedent for women’s liberation, and criminals who pioneered racial integration.

A controversial argument of Russell’s is that the enemies of the renegade freedoms we presently cherish are the very heroes of our histories—he not just to takes over traditional idols such as John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, Andrew Carnegie and John Rockefeller and shows some of the most famous & revered abolitionists and progressive activists, as well as feminist leaders, are the very enemies of the renegade freedoms humans now hold dear.

Unlike textbook history, this is a very creative and challenging depiction of the History of america that has never been published before.
